But one time, after a long ride, with limited options and my partner’s stomach growling louder than the city traffic, we found ourselves at Boom Chicken’s doorstep. Admittedly, we hesitated at first, wary of Korean Town’s reputation for steep prices and massive group meals that cater more to communal feasting than to our modest appetites. However, necessity trumped our reservations, and we decided to give it a shot.
Opting for their original chicken wings, we were delighted to discover that we could order a half portion—a perfect compromise for those who prefer not to overindulge. The waitress assured us that it would suffice, and suffice it did. The crispy, flavorful wings were accompanied by an array of side dishes typical of Korean restaurants, adding depth to the meal.
To complement the savory wings, we ordered extra rice for my partner and indulged in their refreshing lemonade, which provided a perfect balance to the richness of the chicken.

Overall, our experience at Boom Chicken surpassed our expectations. The attentive service, reasonable portion sizes, and, most importantly, the delicious food won us over. While we stuck to the original wings on our first visit, we’re eager to explore their menu further and sample other dishes they have to offer.
